The Land of Anne Shirley

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Prince Edward Island, Canada. It's a beautiful gem of an island with rolling hills, rich red earth, and green fields. It is probably best known, at least to us Americans, as the home of Anne Shirley, the heroine of Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery . This quote made me laugh out loud. For the record, Montgomery was married to a Presbyterian minister.
