A Thanksgiving Shout-out: Ordinary Christians

Here's a shout-out to the ordinary Christians who have made an impact on my life. They may never write a best-selling book, be big-name conference speakers, or even have a blog that makes the top 150. However, they are faithful in little ways that count in the sight of God.

I'm thankful for:
My parents - God has kept them into their 80's. They love Him. They love His Word. They shared Christ with me.
My sister - It's tough when you live far way from aging parents. I'm thankful for my sister's loving service to them. She's always been there for me, too.
My daughter, my closest friend and my sister in Christ.
My pastor who faithfully preaches the Word and shepherds the flock.
The elders in the church - Their vision for the church is not about numbers and programs but about keeping us centered in the gospel for the glory of God. They've sacrificed their time and energy to serve this faith family, and I thank God for them
The sister who coordinates the nursery - Every week she stays with the toddlers during the Sunday school hour so they will recognize a familiar face. It's beautiful to see her minister to these little ones.
A deep teaching bench - Our church is blessed with many brothers above and beyond the elders who can teach the Word. The adult Sunday school classes have been very rich indeed with lots of food for thought.

The ladies in the Extravagant Grace reading group - Even though this hasn't been a Bible study per se, our discussions have been about how the gospel of grace transforms life.  To say our times have been a blessing is an understatement.
Ordinary brothers and sisters beyond the local church who I have gotten to "know" via the Internet.  Some I have met face to face and some I'll meet in glory.
It's wonderful how we can be encouraged in Christ from both near and far. So who are the ordinary Christians who have blessed your life?
