Thankful Thursday

This week's list:

~ The songbirds singing despite the rain.

~ Completing standardized testing for this year.

~ Conviction from Sunday's sermon and more food for though from small group last night.

~ Opportunity to see extended family from far away. I'm thankful we are also family in the Lord.

~ These words that will always apply, at least in this life:

Prone to wander, Lord I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love.
Here's my heart, oh take and seal it. Seal it  for Thy courts above.

  1. Too many are his blessings, are they not? And I agree with quote, but oh...

How His kindness yet pursues me
    Mortal tongue can never tell!!!

    Blessings!

  2. That's one of my favorite hymns, Persis.

How wonderful to have extended family who also love the LORD! I must say I'm thankful we don't have standardized testing here. :)

  3. "The songbirds singing despite the rain." There's a metaphor, if I ever read one. May I do the same!

  4. I love the sounds of birds, too. We have lots of Cardinals around this year.
