Thankful Thursday

Swamp mallow
My thankful list this week:

Good talk with my daughter. It's funny how we get wrong ideas about each other. I'm thankful we could clear the air and have a good laugh about our misconceptions.

The blessing of normal life and everyday, humdrum activities.

A lunch date with Melissa on Saturday. I can't wait!

Being at church with my daughter this Sunday, God willing. She has been away 7 week-ends in a row due to visitation and our vacation. I am so looking forward to being together with our faith family.

  1. Oh, I'm so jealous! You're having lunch with Melissa! I'd love to have lunch with both of you. I need to get my husband to take me on a trip south, then I could get to you guys, Staci, and Lisa!

I love your flower! One of my neighbors has one of those in his front yard, and I want a picture for my 365 days file, but I have a feeling that he might be a little upset if I just walk on his lawn and start taking pictures.

  2. Funny story that says something about me, not you: When I saw your post in my reader (no flower pic) I read the first words as "Swamp Hollow" rather than Swamp Mallow. I thought, "Ohh, Persis is going through a rough day...but giving thanks in it."

I'm glad it's Swamp Mallow. :) Maybe my excuse is that I'm really tired this morning?

  4. Persis,
How wonderful to have the gift of cleared up misunderstandings between us and our children. :) I know you must be thrilled to have L. back at church with you. Praise the LORD for this and your love for your church family!

  8. That is such a great picture Persis-I love those and grow them in my backyard-at least the tamed variety. Glad you guys are doing well-have a nice lunch.
