The unerring hand of infinite wisdom

Nothing is so calming and comforting to the Christian pilgrim as the assurance of Divine Guidance in every, even the most minute circumstances which befall him.
Without this perception of his heavenly Father's care, a thousand intricacies must beset his path.  He must be staggered at almost every step.  But when he beholds by faith the unerring hand of infinite wisdom, wielding the stupendous machine of human events, causing everything to promote the spiritual good of His people, then he quiets himself as a little child, and can say with cheerful resignation, "Father, not my will, but yours be done."

  1. The Sovereignty of God is always an attribute of His character that makes me fall in awe!

May my soul never forget the "unerring hand of infinite wisdom" over me and my family.

    Blessings fro another "pilgrim mama"

  2. A beautiful and comfort truth indeed!

I also noticed that you have "Unpacking Forgiveness" by Chris Brauns on your "Front Burner" list.

    Are you reading?

I don't think I can overstate the significance the significance of the teaching found in this book. This is a topic that too many Christians get wrong, and sadly, suffer for it.

If you are reading, I pray that God richly bless you as you do so. If you are not, may He bless you anyway! : )

Have a beautiful day my dear sister!

  3. I just realized that there a few typos in my comment. Hope you will forgive me -- it's early! : )

  4. Becky:

The doctrine of the sovereignty of God changed my life, but I need daily, hourly, minute-by-minute reminders of this.

    Christina:

I am in the process of reading Unpacking Forgiveness. It's an excellent book. It's also a hard book because Biblical forgiveness isn't a quick and easy, one-sided thing. So far, it has been a great help.

  5. Sweet comfort indeed this is. I find this truth most comforting when it comes to my own personal failings. All of those "coulda-shoulda-woulda's" are immediately replaced with the peace that passeth all understanding.

Praise God for the fact that He IS God and that He loves His children so.

Thank you for posting these gracious words.

    Blessings to you dear sister!
