It was a beautiful day- sunny, mid 60's, and another day to rejoice in the Lord.
I met my best friend for lunch and fellowship. I was blessed and encouraged as we caught up on our families and the Lord's dealings in our lives. Afterwards, we visited the Borders bookstore and picked through the remaining books on sale. I found a book with pictures from the Hubble telescope which will be great for astronomy, a sewing book, and one just for fun. It's probably not to everyone's tastes, but it appeals to my sense of humor.
The quince is now in full flower, and the daffodils are getting ready to burst into bloom.
Lastly, I finally learned how to take videos with my camera. The video isn't that interesting, but Big Bun was the only available subject.
Have a blessed Lord's day tomorrow and don't forget to advance the clock.
What a cute bunny!! And great post. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to tell you that I was quite fascinated with Big Bun and the way that he munched on his food! I have never watched a rabbit eat before!
ReplyDeleteI pray you have a beautiful Lord's Day tomorrow! May all your wordly cares be overshadowed by the grace and glory that is yours in Christ Jesus.
Love you dearly my friend!
Big Bun's salad looks so gourmet:) What lucky bunny.
ReplyDeleteWell, you learn something new every day. I never would have guessed you'd read the Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters combo. :) I would always cringe when I'd see the Austen-Zombie books at the bookstore. You made me laugh when I saw the link. I'm going to have to hide this post from the Ink Slinger, though...this might be the only way he'd want to read Austen. He'll say, "Well, if someone as bright and theologically sound as Persis reads these....." HA!
ReplyDeleteSweet bunny, too, and lovely flowers!
Trisha:
ReplyDeleteInk Slinger might like Austen's Juvenalia, which are hilarious. S&S in its own right has some pretty sharp wit. The sea monster version is just what I need right now. Just imagine all the scenes with Willoughby wearing an old-fashioned diving suit complete with bell helmet and flipper feet, and instead of Marianne falling down the hill, he saves her from a giant octopus.
Hmmm... this Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters sounds like my sorta thing... *mischievous grin*
ReplyDeleteI guess Mom couldn't shelter me for long. ;)
Aagh! He found this post, Persis? Now what will I do?
ReplyDeleteHe's already in the background asking if I've heard of S &S and the Sea Monsters. :)
Trisha:
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to be a bad influence. :-)
My daughter now wants to read the book. Probably because she hears me laughing when I read it. But it's on condition that she watches the movie and reads the original.
I am tempted to borrow P&P and Zombies just to read Lizzy's confrontation with Lady Catherine which involves her defeating a band of ninjas.
Ok, Persis, I'll forgive you. :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Austen's is Northanger Abbey. I laughed out loud with that one, and my boys thought I was crazy. Do they have a version for that one?
And, I think your idea for your daughter is great. My son, in preparation for his future wife, of course, has watched P & P, so now he would just have to read the real book. Ha! I'll tell him you suggested that one.
