I am thankful for the privilege of voting. I'm grateful that I can vote according to my conscience without fear of intimidation or fraud. But as I cast my ballot, my hope is in a sovereign God no matter what is the outcome of today's election, because He orders all things according to the counsel of His will. Politicians and their agendas may come and go, but ultimate hope and security are found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Amen, Persis! Our hope is in the LORD.
ReplyDeleteThe Sovereignty of God is one of my favorite doctrines. No matter what happens, I know He is in control.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for this privilege too. I really can’t imagine NOT being able to vote, but I know that so many elsewhere don’t get to vote. I’m also glad that through the years I’ve learned to be more comfortable with God’s sovereignty over the outcome (although I’m not totally there yet!). Yes, our ultimate hope & security is definitely only in Jesus.
ReplyDeleteEven though, long ago, I came to know, and even so, that my vote wouldn't change the things I wanted changed, I still am excited to vote and I do. I still remember the first time I voted when I came of age.
ReplyDeletePersis, I've never been one for politics but I am thankful that we can cast our votes and that God has blessed us with this privilege the freedom to worship Him openly.
