Thankful Thursday

Another warm and sunny day. I think spring is here to stay.

Grace and discipline to be productive in spite of mornings taken by an extra piano lesson and the dentist.

Learning to not waste as much time on the Internet. I didn't check the blogsphere until late last night, and I survived!

Tim Hawkins in concert on Sunday at the mega-church down the road.

Lord willing in 2 weeks, we will be at the Ligonier National Conference! I'm thankful for the opportunity to attend. The theme The Christian Mind is especially meaningful to me after years of turning off and distrusting my mind to be truly "spiritual". I'm so glad God renews our minds instead.

  1. I'm not ready for Spring yet because it seems we didn't even have a winter.

    Hope you are well :-)

  2. Melissa, winter never showed up, which made for some very nice heating bills. I hope this means we won't have a scorching summer. By God's grace, we are doing well. Thanks for asking. Hope y'alll are well too.

  3. Spring already? We had a bit of snow just a couple of days ago. I love winter, but I'd love to get outside and start walking, too. :)

Ink and I were really wanting to see you at the conference, and I'm sad to say we won't be making it this year. I can't wait to hear all you have to share about it.

Enjoy Tim Hawkins (you always have such great stuff happening around you!). Love to you and L!

  4. Trisha, I was hoping we would see you too. :(
I'll take lots of notes and pictures. At first I thought about getting a laptop and live-blogging, but L told me I was nuts and to just enjoy being there. I think she's right. :)

  5. Oh, I'm so jealous about Tim Hawkins! I'd love to see him sometime.

  6. I hope you're right about the spring. My grass already wants a cutting too. :-) Are you taking or giving the piano lessons? I'm excited for you - that you will get to go to Ligonier - and can't wait to have your share some helpful gems. You'll probably be able to concentrate better without a laptop and the distractions of blogging. There will be plenty of opportunity to do that when you return. I have a feeling you'll take excellent notes! :-)

    Blessings!

  7. We're to get 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow. Should have gone to the grocery store today...

We went to the Ligonier conference a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. The singing is the thing I still remember. Wonderful!

  8. @Kim: Maybe TH will venture to the great north sometime. :)

@Petra:I was chauffeuring to piano lessons. I'll try to take more legible notes. When I write fast, my handwriting is terrible.

@Rosemary: Michael Card will be at the conference. I hope he will lead some of the singing.
