* ACCUMULATION... 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW.
* ICE AMOUNTS... A TRACE TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE IS POSSIBLE... MAINLY LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EVENING.
* TIMING: SNOW WILL BEGIN BY MID MORNING WEST OF I-95... PUSHING INTO EASTERN VIRGINIA BY MID TO LATE MORNING... AND CONTINUING INTO EARLY THIS EVENING.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW... SLEET... AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
We'll see if this occurs today. We are snow wimps here in VA, so this forecast is a big deal for us. Many school systems have already closed even though there hasn't been a single flake from the sky. Most grocery stores will be raided for bread and milk by now.
I need to drop off some typing and take care of Gracie, the chinchilla. Lord willing we will be back home before the freezing rain starts. We were supposed to have our small group Christmas party and white elephant exchange this evening. If the party is cancelled, our neglected whoopie cushion will have to wait to find a new home.
Its headed our way too Persis-and I am excited! 3-6 inches of snow is livable-don't you think?
